Uttarkashi (Uttarakhand), Nov 22 (ANI): As the operation to rescue the 41 trapped workers intensified, NDRF personnel entered the collapsed Silkyara tunnel in Uttarakhand’s Uttarkashi on November 22. They entered the tunnel carrying oxygen cylinders. The major development in the rescue operation happened on the eleventh day of the under-construction tunnel collapse. The rescuers have completed 45-meter pipe drilling to evacuate the trapped workers. Moreover, 30 ambulances are on standby at the incident site to take the workers to the hospital. The ambulances are fully equipped to provide enhanced medical assistance to patients during transportation. Earlier on November 12, a collapse occurred in the tunnel from Silkyara to Barkot due to debris falling in a 60-meter stretch on Silkyara side.
