Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Hockey Academy organised All India Open Women’s Hockey Championship

Srinagar, Nov 06(ANI): Jammu and Kashmir Hockey Academy conducted the All India Open Women’s Hockey Championship in Srinagar. In the heart of the Kashmir Valley, a remarkable sporting event has taken place, showcasing the resilience and talent of young women aspiring to make their mark in the world of hockey. In a region where cricket dominates the sporting scene, particularly for women, the initiative aims to promote women's football and diversify the sports landscape in Kashmir. The tournament will witness matches being played at the Polo Grounds in Srinagar. The venues have been prepared to host the event, ensuring all facilities are in top-notch condition. For the first time, a hockey Synthetic Turf has been constructed for the event.
